Since 2022 the French Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship Programme and the Laboratoire d'excellence RFIEA+ co-organise training sessions open to all 2022-2023 resident fellows of the institutes of Aix-Marseille, Loire-Valley, Lyon, Nantes, Montpellier and Paris in order to help them strengthen their skills in term of research funding, ethics, open data, open publication, non academic outreach, etc.

Spring 2023 training sessions programme

Session 1 (March 1st): Research funding opportunities for SSH scholars (presentation of the contents and services of the Fundit platform, search modalities for funding individual/collaborative research) by Olivier Bouin/Mylène Trouvé, RFIEA Foundation's Director/Secretary General

Session 2 (March 15th): ERC funding schemes (presentation of the four ERC options, tips and advices for preparing efficiently the application, description of the RFIEA individual support for applications) by Olivier Bouin, RFIEA Foundation Director

Session 3 (March 29th): Open Publishing (presentation of key requirements and tools for open publishing, presentation of the Proceedings platform) by Antoine Cordelois, Paris IEA Head of Digital Projects and OPERAS contributor

Session 4 (April 12th): Collaborating with civil society association/dealing with citizen Science (presentation of French landscape of civil society organisations, opportunities for research projects) by Floriant Covelli and Claire Breschard, Director and Head for research, Institut français du monde associatif (IFMA)

Session 5 (April 26th): Writing for a non-academic audience (focus, argumentation, linguistic and syntax formats, captions and intertitles) by Aurélie Louchart, journalist and essayist

Session 6 (May 10th) Data Management and Ethics (presentation of data management practices and project requirements, management of ethical dimensions) by Nawale Lamrini, Data Protection Officer, SciencesPo
